Should i buy a macbook pro?

Well the summer is approaching fast and i am planning to get a summer job. It pays well actually i can make over 3000 bucks if i get the job. I already have a laptop the hp tx2z( in november i will have it for about a 2 years now) and have geek squad protection on it. Since i am only 16 i was planing to by the baseline macbook pro( i know the macbook is cheaper but i want the macbook pro for durability, back lit, and also faster processors) and save the rest of the money for a car in the future. So i m just asking advice on whether or not you think i should go through with this or if i shouldn't what would you do if u were in my shoes.
