What drum sticks to learn with?

Okay, i don't want to sound like a noob or anything, but i LOVE rhythm.. and lately, every time i hear a good rock tune or blues tune on the radio, on youtube, itunes.. whatever, i just have to start drumming with my hands and fingers. So i thought heck.. i may as well improve and atleast get drumsticks. Im after some to start off on, not that i have anything to hit other than whatever is around me at the time, i just want to get use to using sticks, maybe get a snare pad or something. Anyone help?
